Welcome to the Cutanea Website. Dermatology is a unique therapeutic area. The skin is the largest and most visible organ and while most dermatological conditions are not life threatening, they can significantly impact the patient’s general health, quality of life and self esteem. In most cases, therapy is very sensory. Topical drug treatments impact sight, smell, touch and even taste. The impact of treatment is also visual. Unlike many medical conditions the patient, physician and even others can see first hand treatment success and failure. Dermatology is clearly an area in which a positive impact can be made on people’s lives. We are the company to do it.
While our company is new, our team has 50 years of cumulative dermatological experience and over 90 years of pharmaceutical experience. We have the benefit of having worked together before, and as a team we share the same goals and values. We are committed to quality, excellence, honesty, and respect for others.
Incorporated in our business model is the belief that building value is a function of disciplined execution. Execution starts with choosing our development programs, partners and vendors selectively. Equally important is deploying a comprehensive project planning process, a discipline we take very seriously. We always begin with an understanding of the customer need and then work to integrate all facets of a development program into clearly defined activities and time lines to ensure we meet our deliverables.
There are still many unmet needs in the dermatological field, but only a limited amount of novel research in this area. It is our goal to close this gap with novel products and therapies that enhance health and appearance.
